Description: Culm tops arch slightly. Despite the tentative nature of the name of this species it is a decorative plant with almost horizontal branches. This species was brought to Australia from New Zealand where its original scientific name is not known. It has ben tentatively called Bambusa maling there, but this name is not valid. |

LITHACNE: A bamboo-like grass belonging to the genus Olyreae, which is native to South American forests. Formerly listed as a bamboo, but now shifted out of this group. |
